Nostalgia! by Jessi

Welcome to my first Nostalgia by Jessi! blog post:) So glad you stopped by. This site is going to change a lot. So, today I finished my retro vintage mag end table. It's pretty sweet.

It was a free Craigslist find:

Isn't she a beautiful thang?

Doesn't she say, "please, put me out of my misery?" or is she really saying,  "Save me?"

So, my girl friend collects vintage mags and does the whole decoupage thing all the time. I thought I'd give it a go.

So here is what we ended up with:

This was waaay more work than I thought it would be. All those ads were like a puzzle, then lots and lots of decoupage glue for a smooth surface. I thought about doing laquer, but I really like the ease, shine and clean up of polycrylic. So, now is she is ready to live with someone who will really love her and appreciate her. Price: $50
